This guy will say his fathers mother and his fathers father is from Assyrian background but he will put Iraqi (meaning arab) in his social media , regardless, Assyrians would not associate him with being Assyrian even if he changes his bio description, his father did marry outside the culture and if he asked his father what were the dances and songs sung at his fathers wedding his father would tell him it’s Chaldean

part 1 - Firstly , a church does not define a persons identity , ethnicity and religion are 2 different things because there are Arab Christian’s who do attend Assyrian church though their ethnicity is Arab, it’s like the old Armenian church in Iran just because some Persian Christian’s attend doesn’t reduce their identity. There’s some things he says here about Assyrian that is wrong , there is no such thing as Syrian church or an Assyrian who is Syrian, 2 different people, Syrian and Syria is an Arab state for an Arab people so what he said makes no sense. it’s Syriac not Syrian but the main Syriac church is located in Syria and gets confused with the name of the nation .but some Assyrians who are western dialect will call themselves Syriac or Syrian they are either from Turkey if they call themselves Syriac but majority of them from Syria call themselves by the name of the nation , his basically saying his fathers mother who calls herself Chaldean is Assyrian but Catholic and his fathers father is Assyrian who calls himself Syrian because he is western dialect Assyrians from syria who label themselves by the nation they reside. So his fathers mother is eastern dialect Assyrian but his fathers father is western dialect Assyrian . When it comes to the name of the language referred in English , linguist will call Assyrian lanaguge Aramaic but is not true , Assyrians do not speak Jesus langauge the langauge of Jesus is called Biblical Aramaic aka Galilee Aramaic and is not the same as Assyrian .
